Local Bus Service:
Shanklin is served by two bus routes, the number 2 runs from Newport Bus Station to the Ryde Terminus via Godshill, Shanklin, Sandown and Brading; the number 3 route overlaps much of the number 2 route, but between Godshill and Shanklin it diverts via Wroxall and Ventnor. Island Line Train:
The Island Line train service operates a direct route from Ryde to Shanklin in just under 30 minutes. The train connects with ferry and hover services from the mainland. Services operate every hour with half hourly services in peak months. Tickets can be purchased on the train from the guard or at Shanklin station
